UPSC IPS Examination 2012 Notification Results Application Form :1.Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct a competitive examination for recruitment of Indian Police Service (IPS) on May 20, 2012 exam will be held at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai. Delhi, Guwahati, Kolkata and Nagpur. Candidates will be selected based on performance in written test and interview or personality test. Details of conditions and the application process is as follows.
2.Eligibility: Applicants must be a citizen of India and should have 05 years of service as Deputy Superintendent of Police in States under State Police Service or Assistant Commandants in Central Para Military Forces (Central Reserve Police Service, Border Security Force, Indo Tibet Border Police, Central Industrial Security Force and Sashastra Seema Bal).
3.Officers of the Rank of Captain or Major or equivalent in the Armed Forces are also eligible to apply. Applicants must have an unblemished service record. Applicants age should be below 35 years.
4.Application procedure : Interested candidates should apply online only.
5.Prescribed application form available at UPSC website http://www.upsc.gov.in.
6.Completed application forms along with relevant copies of certificates should be sent to the Secretary, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi – 110069 on or before 19th April, 2012.
7.Application can also be delivered at Union Public Service Commission counter by hand. The Online Applications can be filled up-to 1-4-2012 till 11.59 p.m. The last date for receiving Online Application Form is 19-4-2012.
