APPSC Polytechnic in Lecturers Colleges Non-Engineering and Engineering Subjects 2011-2012 AP Technical Education Service was appointed - Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), Hyderabad, Government Polytechnic lecturers in colleges of posts (132 spaces) (Engineering and Non Engineering) recruitment notification for 2012 have been announced. The normal recruitment and hiring on a regular basis with scale of pay of Rs. 8,000 - 13.500 AICTE standards (50 per cent DA merger with the standards). Age of candidates for all posts, such as on 01-07-2011 should be between 18-35 years. 10-06-2012 selected, and the oral test (interview) was held on the basis of written test will be objective.Following are details of posts in various subjects, community and subject wise break ups, eligibility, exam pattern, model papers and application procedure:

3. Lecturer in Electronics and Communication Engineering: 16 posts

8. Lecturer in Physics: 08 posts
9. Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering: 03 posts
10. Lecturer in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering: 05 posts
11. Lecturer in Automobile Engineering: 05 posts
12. Lecturer in metallurgical Engineering: 03 posts
13. Lecturer in Mining Engineering: 01 post
14. Lecturer in Bio-Medical Engineering: 04 posts
15. Lecturer in Geology: 01 post

Interested candidates can apply online through prescribed application form available on the website www.apspsc.gov.in from 04/01/2012 to 03/02/2012. Last date for the payment of application fee is 01/02/2012. Candidates have to pay the fee through downloading the challan available on the website and remitting the fee at any AP online centers and designated SBI branches in Andhra Pradesh. All candidates have to pay Rs. 100 and those not exempted from fee have to pay Rs. 120.

Qualifications and eligibility: For all engineering subjects, candidates should have a First Class Bachelor’s Degree in the appropriate Branch of Engineering or Technology (BE / B.Tech) recognized by All India Council for Technical Education or its equivalent organisation. For all non engineering subjects, applicants should have first class Master;s Degree in the concerned subject.

Selection Procedure: Candidates for all posts will be selected based on the performance in Objective type written test and interview. Only those candidates who qualified in the Written Examination will be called for interview in 1:2 ratio. The Written examination will be followed by the Walking Test and Medical Test as per rules. Centers of written exams are Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Tirupati and Warangal. The minimum qualifying marks for interview or selection are OCs 40 percent, BCs 35 percent, SCs, and STs 30 percent or as per Rules. The minimum age and qualifying marks are relaxable in the case of SC/ST/BC as per the rules / at the discretion of the Commission. Candidates can obtain model papers and previous papers from the leading book shops in all the major cities and towns in Andhra Pradesh. Popular publishers such as Vijetha Competitions and Udyoga Sopanam provide these books at competitive prices. PART-A: Written (Objective Type) Examination:

1) Paper-1 General Studies and Mental ability: 150 Marks - 150 Questions - 150 Minutes
2) Paper-2 Concerned Subject: 300 Marks - 150 Questions - 150 Minutes

PART-B: ORAL TEST (Interview) : 50 Marks

The paper in concerned subject for Engineering streams is of Engineering Bachelor’s degree standard. and the paper in the concerned subject for Non-Engineering streams is of P.G. Degree standard. The Question papers will be in English only.

City Cadre: City of Hyderabad consists of Hyderabad Division, Secunderabad Division of Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad, Secunderabad Contonment area, O.U.Campus, Fatehnagar, Bowenpally, Macha Bolarum, Malkajgiri, Uppal Khalsa, Alwal, Balanagar, Moosapet, Kukatpally Panchayat Areas and Zamistanpur and Lallaguda villages. (HYD).

Application Procedure: The candidates have to read the User Guide for Online Submission of Applications and then proceed further. They have to logon to the website www.apspsc.gov.in and enter Basic Personal Details like Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, and Community and then download Challan Form to pay the Fee at AP Online centers or State Bank of India. After paying the fee, they can log on to the website on the next working day with Journal Number and proceed with online application. Candidates should upload recent signed Colour Passport Size Photograph as prescribed by the Commission in JPG format.
